Taurine for heart, muscle, brain and eye function

Taurine is a naturally occurring aminosulfonic acid found in numerous tissues of the human body. Particularly high concentrations are found in the eyes, brain, heart and muscles, among others.

Within cells, taurine is also closely linked to mitochondrial processes and is therefore classified as a so-called Mitoceutical® in the MitoMed concept. Furthermore, taurine is involved in the formation of conjugated bile acids.

As an endogenous substance, taurine is fundamentally different from the stimulating ingredients with which it is frequently associated, for instance, through its use in energy drinks.

Recommended intake:

Take 2 capsules daily throughout the day with meals and sufficient liquid.

Does TaurinoMit® give the body a boost because taurine is also found in energy drinks?
There is no evidence that taurine has a stimulating effect. It is a substance – an aminosulfonic acid – that also occurs naturally in our bodies.
What is the capsule shell of TaurinoMit® made of?
The capsule shell of TaurinoMit® is of plant origin and consists of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).
Where is taurine found in our body?
Taurine can be found in all cells, especially in the "power plants of our cells," the mitochondria. It is also an important component of membranes, which are significantly involved in the electrolyte balance as well as the exchange of substances between cells. Taurine is found to a particularly high degree in the organs of the eye, brain, heart, and muscles, as well as in the blood.
