Task of AEGS® Kon comp
AEGS® Kon comp was developed specifically for the therapy-accompanying nutrient supply when taking oral contraceptives (birth control pills).
As hormonal contraceptives, oral contraceptives influence the metabolism in our body and can cause a deficiency of the following micronutrients if taken continuously: Ubiquinol Q10, vitamin B2, B6, B12, biotin, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium, selenium and zinc.
These micronutrients are therefore specifically combined in AEGS® Kon comp for consumption as an adjunct to therapy when taking oral contraceptives.
Ubiquinol Q10 is:
- a key substance in the mitochondria, the "power plants of our cells", where energy is obtained in the form of ATP
- an important component of cell and mitochondrial membranes
- an important substance for receptors and ion channels
- found especially in the heart, brain, nervous system, muscles, liver and kidneys
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) contributes to:
- normal energy metabolism
- normal function of the nervous system
- reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- protection of cells against oxidative stress
- maintenance of normal mucous membranes, skin
- maintaining normal vision
- maintenance of normal red blood cells
- normal iron metabolism
Vitamin B6 contributes to:
- normal energy metabolism
- normal function of the nervous system
- normal mental function
- reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- normal function of the immune system
- regulation of hormonal activity
- normal formation of red blood cells
- normal protein and glycogen metabolism
- normal cysteine synthesis
- normal homocysteine metabolism
Vitamin B12 contributes to:
- normal energy metabolism
- normal function of the nervous system
- normal mental function
- reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- normal function of the immune system
- normal red blood cell formation
- normal homocysteine metabolism
In addition, vitamin B12 has a function in cell division.
Biotin contributes to:
- normal energy metabolism
- normal function of the nervous system
- normal mental function
- normal metabolism of macronutrients
Folic acid has a function in cell division and contributes to:
- the reduction of fatigue and tiredness
- normal mental function
- normal function of the immune system
- growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy
- normal blood formation
- normal amino acid synthesis
- normal homocysteine metabolism
Vitamin C contributes to:
- a normal function of the immune system, during and after intense physical activity
- an increase in iron absorption
- normal energy metabolism
- normal function of the nervous system
- normal mental function
- reduction of fatigue and tiredness
- normal collagen formation for normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, skin, teeth and gums
- protection of cells against oxidative stress
- regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E
Vitamin E contributes to:
- the protection of cells from oxidative stress
Magnesium contributes to:
- the electrolyte balance
- normal energy metabolism
- normal muscle function
- normal function of the nervous system
- normal mental function
- reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- normal protein synthesis
- maintenance of normal bones
- maintenance of normal teeth
Selenium contributes to:
- normal thyroid function
- normal function of the immune system
- protection of cells against oxidative stress
- maintenance of normal hair and nails
- normal spermatogenesis

- normal function of the immune system
- protection of cells against oxidative stress
- normal cognitive (thinking) function
- maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails
- the maintenance of normal bones
- the maintenance of normal vision
- normal vitamin A metabolism
- normal metabolism of macronutrients (carbohydrates, fat, protein)
- normal protein synthesis
- normal DNA synthesis
- normal fertility and reproduction
- normal blood testosterone level
