Frequently asked questions
Why are the capsules so yellow?
CurcuMit® capsules contain an extract of the curcuma root, whose German name is turmeric. This is the natural colour of the product.
What distinguishes CurcuMit® from other products with curcuma or the curcuma powder from the spice shelf?
Curcumin has a very low bioavailability because it is insoluble in water and clumps with other curcumin molecules in the digestive tract, which reduces absorption by the body. However, in CurcuMit® it is in a starch encapsulation - so the curcumin is absorbed as a single molecule in the small intestine.
What is resveratrol?
Resveratrol is a so-called polyphenol. Polyphenols are secondary plant substances that form part of the plant's own "defences". It is mainly found in grapes, Japanese knotweed and various types of berries.
